About Campbell St Library

Campbell St Library is a large and vibrant space that is used differently each day. Students are welcome to: chat with friends, use empty meeting rooms, relax, use the WiFi or the computers, eat and drink, study and more; the possibilities are endless. We welcome the use of personal devices such as laptops, tablets and phones.

Sometimes the library will be quiet and ideal for individual study, but it will frequently be noisy due to classes using the space and events being held in the lounge and DigiLabs.

The lounge is a welcoming space that has comfy couches, tables to work on, a big TV, a microwave, board games and a kitchen sink. The area is warm and welcoming with an abundance of natural light flowing in from the large windows.

There is a ‘cosy corner’ that has a great range of recreational books, types of books you may find here include novels, easy reads, comics, Manga, non-fiction and biographies.

The DVD collection is very popular and is slowly growing as people donate DVDs. The large magazine collection is great way to keep up to date with trends and current issues in your subject area, plus there are some general interest magazines to help take your mind off study.

The rest of the library has more spaces that students can use to relax and study, plus subject specific books and DVDs in these subject areas: business; accounting; ICT; library technology; creative arts; fashion and textiles; hairdressing and beauty therapy; electro-technology; automotive; migrant language services; lab operations, Aboriginal studies; and vocational preparations programs.

You will always find a library staff member at the ‘Help Desk’ who is able to assist you to connect to the WiFi, use computers and printers, find research materials and answer questions. If you aren’t sure who to ask or where to go, the library is a good place to start.

The Southern DigiLab is located in the Campbell Street Campus Library and has a range of exciting, new and interesting technology, including a 3D printer, more than 3 types of robots and Virtual Reality. If you would like to visit or are interested in in using the space email the DigiLabs coordinator at

The video below will take you on a tour of the library with Kuro, the library cat.
