Copyright for TAFE educators - free webinars magnifying glass over the word copyright

The National Copyright Unit is offering free Zoom webinars aimed specifically towards TAFE teachers and librarians to help them navigate copyright.

The 4-hour sessions cover a range of topics including:

  • A basic introduction to copyright
  • What TAFEs can do under the various educational licences
  • Free use exceptions - flexible dealing, exam and test copying
  • Guidelines for teaching online
  • Using Netflix, YouTube and audiobooks in class
  • Creative Commons materials - how to find and use them
  • Open Education Resources (OER) - how to find and use them
  • Practical case studies and FAQs

Attendance at one of these sessions counts towards your professional development, and can be added to your MyPlan.

Here are the dates and links for upcoming webinars or you can call 02 7814 3855.

Additionally, look out for the Copyright 4 Educators course from the NCU and Smartcopying, they will be taking enrolments from the 26th of April! You can read about the course on the Smartcopying website
