Get Up! Stand Up! Show up! to our 2022 NAIDOC celebrations

Each year Aboriginal Support Programs host our TasTAFE NAIDOC Week Celebrations. As NAIDOC Week falls during the study break our events are delayed until staff and students return. The 2022 NAIDOC Week theme of Get Up! Stand Up! Show up!  celebrates and explores the ways Aboriginal people have taken action to fight for justice over many years. The theme also considers ways Australians can stand alongside us as advocates and allies. Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! with us to amplify our voices and narrow the gap between aspiration and reality, good intent and outcome.

TasTAFE NAIDOC Celebrations will take place as follows;

  • Burnie Campus – Tuesday 26 July, 12pm at the flag pole behind C Block
  • Devonport Campus – Wednesday 27 July, 12pm at the flag pole at the Valley Road entrance
  • Alanvale Campus – Wednesday 27 July, 12pm in the Library, A Block
  • Campbell St Campus – Wednesday 27 July, 12.30pm, in the Library, Level 1

There will be Welcome to Country, cultural food tastings, activities, and competitions to win prizes, most events will have guest speakers/performers and there will be informative displays around the theme. All staff and students are invited to come along.
