UNESCO name Launceston a City of Gastronomy

Launceston, in Tasmania's north, has been named a City of Gastronomy by UNESCO as part of its Creative Cities Network. This signifies global recognisiton of Launceston and the surrounding area, as one of the best food destinations in the world. It has taken three years for the city to gain the title.
